An enchanting, otherworldly place, this isle is best explored by foot and by car. Hike up the Old Man of Stoor and meet some sheep along the way, wander along the colorful streets of Portree at dawn and into eerie forests nearby, and enjoy the spectacular views out your car window as you zigzag around the islands as the mists circle the hills.

Recommendations:

  • Old Man of Stoor

  • Lean To Coffee (a rustic café with outdoor seating that is frequented by tourists, but worth it for the tasty cardamom buns)

Don't just be a tourist.

Be an adventurer. Be a traveler.

Know the countries, the cultures, and the people that make up this wide world.
